We work with worker’s compensation, through single referral authorizations. We are also in-network with the following insurance companies:

Due to a large number of different insurance plans, we can not guarantee your particular plan covers treatments without verification. Call or email to inquire about a benefit and eligibility check.

Unfortunately, Medicare does not yet cover acupuncture. We hope this will change soon!

Other PPOs

We directly bill PPO insurance plans if acupuncture is a covered benefit. We do not contract with all companies or those requiring a middleman that handles claims. The reason for this is they offer low flat rates that do not cover consultation time for new or existing patients. Evaluations are necessary for proper treatment.

If you found us through American Specialty Health, or your “PPO” requires the provider to be enrolled with ASH, we are no longer contracted. American Specialty Health is a middleman that is required by some insurance companies to process claims. ASH reimburses providers at a much lower contracted rate (The difference of the co-pay and $41) and requires more paperwork and administrative review than worker’s compensation cases.

Additionally, it was a hassle wringing payment out of ASH after the fifth visit. A patients’ plan states they have 12-20 visits per year only to be denied after the fifth visit as “unnecessary” when acupuncture has been the only thing to work. Kaiser charges members $125 for a follow-up acupuncture treatment, one that is limited from using points all over the body.

Sliding Scale

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer sliding scale and bill insurance companies at the same time.
